American Dream Homes is a local, family owned and operated business. The company was originally founded in 1993 by brothers Jarrett & Steve Vereen. Their father, Mike, joined the company in 1998, making American Dream Homes a true family affair.With a history of building individual custom built homes within many upscale coastal communities, including Prestwick Country Club, Blackmoor, Plantation Lakes, Willbrook Plantation, Plantation Point, Blackcreek Plantation and Collins Creek, their main goal in building a home is to make it the easiest and most pleasant experience a homeowner could possibly have during the construction process.
Along with custom built homes, American Dream Homes has also built luxury villas, duplexes, triplexes, spec homes and condominiums. American Dream Homes is the primary builder within Dunes Cove, Pelican Harbor and Birch N’ Coppice. They have also developed Baron’s Bluff on Highway 90 consisting of 219 home sites.
Company Owners, Jarrett and Steve Vereen have lived and worked on the Grand Strand all their lives. They are members of the Horry-Georgetown Home Builders Association and the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce.
JARRETT LONG VEREEN:
Born and raised in the Conway/Myrtle Beach area, Jarrett attended the University of South Carolina and graduated with a degree in Business Management. He attends Myrtle Beach Community Church. He is also the founder of Fellowship of Christian Builders (FCB). FCB is a non-profit organization that organizes Christian concerts to raise money to do service in our communities by building or restoring ramps, parks, playground equipment, or just miscellaneous objects. Their goals are to serve Christ through service in our community. Their mission statement is: Jesus said... "Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven" Matthew 5:16
MICHAEL STEVE VEREEN II:
Born and raised in the Conway/Myrtle Beach are, Steve attended the University of South Carolina and graduated with a degree in Political Science and Business Management. Steve lives in the Myrtle Beach area with his children Steven and Jacquelyn. They attend Surfside United Methodist Church. Steve is also a pilot with American Airlines and has been for the past 19 years.
