There are hundreds of condominium complexes in a variety of price ranges on the oceanfront along the Grand Strand's 60 mile coastline to choose from. There are many factors to consider when purchasing an oceanfront condo in the Myrtle Beach and surrounding areas. The most decisive factor that affects most oceanfront purchasing decisions is whether or not you plan on renting the unit when it is not in use by the owner. You will need to consider the differences between the high rise concrete and steel condo buildings and the older low to mid rise condo developments. Do you want to be in a resort area with high traffic or a more relaxed environment with family and friends? Which area is best for you, Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Surfside Beach, Garden City Beach, Pawleys Island or Litchfield Beach? Oceanfront Condos ~ The most sought after real estate investments in Myrtle
Beach! Investors really like the idea of quick returns from vacation rentals and the ability of these investments to appreciate in good economies. We assist investors everyday in purchasing oceanfront condos and investment properties. Things buyers need to consider: If you want high rental incomes, then the resort like condo communities or high-rise condos with a lot of amenities are what you are looking for. If you are more interested in a more spacious second home type condo, then you will be more interested in a low-rise condo development with lower property owner fees and minimal amenities.
Oceanview Condos ~ Keep in mind, not all condos in oceanfront buildings are direct oceanfront units. These are called oceanview condos and there are great condos with beautiful oceanviews in many of these same buildings. Oceanview condos also include the condos that are in buildings second
row from the beach with unobstructed views or peaks of the ocean. Oceanfront condos have a premium for being directly on the ocean, however there are often deals to be found in the oceanview condos. Depending on location, the rentals of an oceanview condo are usually not much less than owning an oceanfront condo. These are always factors to consider.
